My Background
In addition to my private practice, I supervise trainee and qualified therapists towards gaining their BACP Accreditation, and other professional qualifications. I am also part of the peer review panel for students’ UKCP re-accreditation.

I believe that the relationship between therapist and client is key to a successful therapeutic outcome, and I work both directively and collaboratively to ensure that clients are moving forward in all areas of their lives towards health and positive change.

Combining an existential and practical cognitive approach, I work both long- term and short-term with clients to support them through many life issues including anxiety and depression, loss and divorce and relationships in general.

Prior to training as a psychotherapist in 2009, I worked in the City for several years in the financial and business sectors.

I have a professional interest in the pursuit of psychological well-being and the link between mind and body: in essence, how physical health can suffer as a manifestation of possible underlying emotional or psychological causes.

I set up my own private practice after graduating in 2012, and became part of the team at The Blue Door Practice in Central London in 2021.

Aspects of my client work cover many complex and varied psychological difficulties, including life challenges and existential issues. Part of this work involves working with high-net worth clients at The Blue Door Practice, many of whom experience difficulties in their relationships or marriages.
I am also part of the Wellness Team for a firm of City Lawyers (DMH Stallard) with whom I work closely with clients in the process of divorce and other life challenges.

I have a professional interest in the subject of Coercive Control in relationships, and I am currently researching this area as a phenomenon that has gained more media attention since the law changed in 2015.
